Hull manager Phil Brown has confirmed the club have made a bid for Wigan striker Marlon King as he looks to beef up the Tigers' attack.
Brown is keen to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season and he has made King one of his top targets.
The Tigers have been busy in the transfer market this week with three new arrivals and Brown is hoping to secure a deal for Jamaica international King.
"We are talking to Steve Bruce and my chairman is talking to their chairman about the possibilities of Marlon King coming to the club" Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.
"There's a long way to go but there's a bid on the table."
Hull could face a fight to land the former Watford man with Derby also believed to keen on signing the 28-year-old.
