West Ham have emerged as favourites to sign Swiss star Valon Behrami.
The Lazio midfielder, who can also play at right-back, is set to leave the Serie A side and a number of clubs have shown an interest in the Kosovo-born 23-year-old.
Everton were strongly linked with a summer approach, but now Italian sources suggest The Hammers are very close to confirming a deal.
West Ham's new Italian technical director Gianluca Nani is believed to have played a major role in securing Behrami.
The deal is reportedly going to be worth €6.5million (£5.2million) to Lazio, who have agreed to the sale.
Should West Ham seal his signature then it would represent their first major acquisition of the summer.

Behrami is cool he will be a great edition to everton if they sign him.
Valon is an amazing guy. He created a personal account on a celebrity dating site called ' MILLMATCH'. Seems that he has been verified billionaire there. I am wondering what kind of relationship she is looking for on that site!
