The big money move of striker Bakari Kone from Nice to Marseille is being held up due to a bonus payment owed to the player.
The clubs have agreed a nine million euro (£7.1 million) fee and Kone has agreed terms on a four year contract, but he is refusing to give up a 630,000 euro (£500,000) bonus he feels Nice owe him.
Nice have refused to pay the bonus and are looking for Marseille to pay the extra money.
In a bid to push the deal through they have told the French giants they will accept a sell on clause for Kone of just 6% and not 15% as had been previously agreed.
"There are still some complications with the deal" confirmed Kone.
"Things are on the right track, and I'm hoping it will be sorted out very soon, the important thing is the two clubs get along."
The proposed transfer has been one of the longest running stories in France all summer, with a disagreement over the fee being the initial problem.
26-year-old Kone scored 14 goals for Nice last season and was once dubbed 'a phenomenon' by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
He has 31 caps for the Ivory Coast and is the older brother of fellow Ivorian international Arouna Koné, who is a striker for Spanish club Sevilla
