Newly-crowned British champion Toby Sandeman cruised through to the final of the 200 metres at the European U23 Championships in Kaunas.
The 21-year-old Thames Valley sprinter, who stormed to victory with a new personal best of 20.69 seconds in Birmingham last weekend, clocked 20.80s in his semi-final in Lithuania to qualify second fastest.
Richard Kilty also booked his spot in the final, recording a time of 20.99s which was good enough to take third.
In the women's event, England U23 Championships runner-up Lucy Sargent set a lifetime best of 23.57s to advance to the final.
"I'm really pleased with that," she said. "I felt good, I didn't think it would be that fast. I was running as hard as I could.
"I didn't want to look at the ranking before because I knew it would scare me so I ran that as a final and actually getting into the final is a big bonus."
But English U23 champion Joey Duck failed to progress, finishing fourth in her semi-final and just missing out on a lucky loser spot.
"I can run so much faster than that," Duck said. "My bend was OK but normally my second part is my strongest part.
"My first race is always bad, it always takes me one race to get going but I didn't have that here. I know I'm better than that which is just so disappointing."
