Boss satisfied with Seagulls start

Mon 18 Aug, 02:00 PM

Micky Adams is satisfied with Brighton's start to the season despite his side dropping their first points to a penalty against Bristol Rovers. The Seagulls won their first match at Crewe, followed it up with a 4-0 thumping of Barnet in the Carling Cup and looked on course to make it three wins in three until Rickie Lambert's penalty cancelled out Nicky Forster's spot-kick.

"I think it's as good a start as we have had in a while. Four points is a good return," said Adams.

"I'm disappointed we did not see the game through to the end so that we were left with the maximum six, but we are undefeated and we want to continue that at Southend next week."
