Lee Collins has revealed he would be happy to extend his loan deal at Port Vale after a successful fortnight at the League Two club. The defender is enjoying his experience of first-team football since his move from parent club Wolves and has also considered life beyond the deal's current deadline at the end of January.
"If I am doing well here then I may as well carry on playing first-team football and extend my loan because I am happy here so far - and I have only been here two weeks," he told the club's official website.
"I am here to play games. He (Mick McCarthy) sent me out because he wants me to play games. He doesn't want me playing in the reserves week in, week out because it's not really going to get me that far.
"Playing first-team football is what it's all about. The passion is there and I can take that back to Wolves and hopefully they will notice I have improved."
