The agent of out-of-favour Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has indicated the Serbia international is set to join AC Milan.
Ivanovic is yet to make a single appearance for the Blues since joining from Lokomotiv Moscow in a £10million deal in January.
Chelsea are apparently reluctant to let the player go but Ivanovic's agent, Vlado Borozan, believes they are set to agree a deal to send the 24-year-old to the San Siro.
Whether that transfer will be permanent or a loan move remains unclear, but Borozan warned that the player was unhappy to be a back-up in west London and that he had set his heart on a move to the north of Italy.
"Branislav chose Milan and he told that to the club, and for that reason he will probably wear the Rossoneri shirt this next season," he told www.tuttomercato.com.
"The deal will be done because no-one will keep an unhappy player."
Despite suggesting a deal was imminent, Borozan conceded negotiations between the clubs had stalled because of Chelsea's reluctance to let the defender leave Stamford Bridge.
Only last week Borozan revealed Chelsea had refused to sell the player because they regarded him as an "indispensable" member of the team.
"The problem at the moment is that Chelsea want four starters in the position and he is the fourth. It's difficult to find a replacement of the same level, so the Blues want to keep him and the deal has stalled," Borozan said.
"The English are bringing grist to their own mill to up the price a bit."

vulcanraven, your comment is hilarious... 'trying to pick up players on the cheap' is a sign of good business... if your memory serves you for more than 4 years you will remember the days when chelsea did not have abramovich to open his chequebook upon cue, and had to be far more concious of their spending then Milan are today. That is, of course, unless you are a floating fan; one who just changes clubs when the going gets tough.
They player need to play adn to be number 4 in the club is never fun. let him go and shine. Chelsea will win EPL and Milan will win Seria A :)
better for him to move to AC MILAN,,,,
Don't let him go he is lot better than Paulo Fererira. It is Fereira who should be sold not Ivanovic. Im chelsea fan but sometimes they are realy blind.
Chelsea should just hand onto him. He can play the early rounds of the Carling Cup. lol
Typical Milan though, trying to pick up players on the cheap.
he better only go on loan. he will eventually be 1st choice if he stays
