Roy Carroll is training with OB Odense after leaving Derby County by mutual consent.

Derby confirmed his departure after the ex-Wigan keeper admitted he was considering his options and training with the Danish side.

The former Manchester United shot-stopper did not feature for the Rams since taking on his former side in January's Carling Cup semi-final.

The Northern Irishman joined from Rangers in January 2008, had two years remaining on his contract at Pride Park and made 39 appearances for the club.

"I am looking through my options, and I am training with OB," Carroll earlier told Fyens Stiftstidende.

Odense director Kim Brink said no decision has been made on Carroll.

  2. Another one out, so when is Pearson going to start spending some of these savings? 30,000 plus supporters deserve better. The team is just not good enough as it stands, we have taken more money in than we have spent. We need some experienced class players if we are to survive this year, the board seem only concerned about reducing the debt. No point if we are playing in L1 next year and certainly no way to treat the biggest home gate in the Championship.
