Coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Chelsea have reached an agreement with Croatian club Inter Zapresic for young goalkeeper Matej Delac to join them in 2011.
Delac will remain with the Croatian club for the next two years, during which period Chelsea will pay his wages. Delac will also travel to London whenever possible to train with the Blues and will then be under contract with the Barclays Premier League side for five years.
Ancelotti (pictured) said: "He is a young goalkeeper getting very good experience in his country and we think that he can be very good in the future. He will stay in Croatia to play next season and then come to play with us."
Chelsea are banned from signing any new players for the next two transfer windows but Ancelotti believes FIFA are happy with their latest move.
The Blues are appealing against FIFA's ruling but the Chelsea coach believes the move can be helpful to the club's future.
"I think FIFA are happy," said Ancelotti. "He is a very young goalkeeper and this is a solution for our future, not for the present.
"We put a lot of attention on the young players in every part of the world and if it is possible to take them, we want to do this."

Man Utd will prevail definitely. There can be only one Manchester recognisable by the WORLD. Man U to win by 2-0 deficit. I'm an ardent Man U fan.
next stop Man City
Come on you Blues!
Comment 1 - Chelsea have hardly acted out of altruism. In fact, more than anything else it seems to me a fairly arrogant response to the FIFA ban...
Inter Z would survive without the money, Chelsea are getting a class A prospect who hopefully will come to his full potential!
