Oakley wants more goals

Leicester captain Matt Oakley has urged his team-mates to start chipping in with more goals to take the pressure off Matty Fryatt.

Fryatt is in a rich vein of form for Nigel Pearson's side, having notched six goals in nine matches in all competitions.

But Oakley has called on the rest of the squad to ease the goal-scoring burden on the striker.

"At the moment, we are creating the chances and Matty is taking them," Oakley told the Leicester Mercury.

"Steve (Howard) will start scoring soon and then the midfield boys have to do their job.

"We scored quite a lot of goals from set-pieces last season and, hopefully, they will start coming."
