Striker Robin van Persie is expected to return for Arsenal against Wigan following a knee problem.
Russian playmaker Andrey Arshavin has an outside chance of playing as he battles back from a groin problem.
Goalkeeper Manuel Almunia is still troubled by the chest infection which ruled him out of Wednesday night's Champions League away win at Standard Liege, so rookie Vito Mannone will continue in goal.
Denilson (back), Theo Walcott (back), Samir Nasri (leg), Lukasz Fabianski (knee), Johan Djourou (knee) and Carlos Vela (ankle) remain out.

As long as the team keeps playing there will always be injuries. The return of Van Persie may see the lay off of another player(s) thro injury. Arsene needs to be prepared for such eventualities by buying more players. That is, if if wants to get the ever elusive trophy. What happens if, for example if a dozen players are laid off- play the reserve?
Comment #1: How can we wait till all are injury free? Impossible! That's why we need a larger squad with quality. New signings please......
Its Good Van Persie Will Return for Wigan as he is one of the premierships best strikers but all clubs get injuries and arsenal will have to wait until all players are fit
