Boss bemoans Klasnic decision

Sun, 18 Oct 09:58:26 2009

Bolton boss Gary Megson was unhappy that Ivan Klasnic had a goal disallowed during the 2-1 defeat at Manchester United.

The substitute's effort was chalked off for a foul on United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar by Ricardo Gardner.

"It was a ridiculous decision," said Megson.

"Ricardo clearly got to the ball in front of Van der Sar. I didn't think it was a free-kick at all."

Zat Knight's own goal and Antonio Valencia put United 2-0 up before Matt Taylor set up a frantic finish.

  1. Gardiner nearly caught the ball with BOTH hands, how on earth should the goal have been allowed? Clear kick out and in fact should ahve been a yellow card, thats the only wrong decision about that incident!!!
