Debut defeat for Dodds

Caretaker boss Jason Dodd admitted there was plenty of room for improvement following Aldershot's 3-2 defeat to Bury.

Despite twice being in the lead, the former Southampton defender watched his side succumb to two quick-fire goals from Stephen Dawson and Efe Sodje.

The result ended the Shots' unbeaten home run and Dodd was left dumfounded by the result.

"The boys worked very hard and were gutted in the dressing room," he said. "The disappointing thing from my point of view is that they were three sloppy goals that we conceded.

"I imagine for a neutral it would have been entertaining, but from our point of view I can see we`ve got a lot to work on.

"If you give teams free headers in the box then they are going to put the ball away. We have a good week ahead of us now so we will be working hard and taking the positives from this."
