Manager Stuart McCall felt his Bradford side underperformed in the defeat at Dagenham.
Although City levelled with a cracking strike from Michael Flynn, they slipped to their second straight defeat in a 2-1 reverse, which frustrated McCall.
"I don't think we started well at all, they started really well, whereas we didn't get into it," McCall said.
"We got back in the game with a fine strike from Mickey, but in the second half we didn't make their keeper make enough saves, whereas Simon Eastwood had to for us.
"What is disappointing is that some of our players didn't play as well as they could do."
