England captain John Terry voted for two of his Chelsea team-mates - Didier Drogba and Petr Cech - in FIFA's World Player of the Year awards.Terry did not select Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo or winner Kaka, according to the register of votes, although he did plump for Barcelona's Argentina forward Lionel Messi, who finished second.
The FIFA award is voted on by all national team managers and captains - and Terry went for Drogba, Messi and Cech in that order, while then England manager Steve McClaren chose Kaka, Ronaldo and Italy's Gennaro Gattuso.
Ronaldo was honoured to be considered among the world's top three stars.
He said: "Of course, there is a feeling of disappointment as well - but I am honoured to be considered one of the best three players in the world."
AC Milan star Kaka completed a clean sweep - he has also won the Ballon d'Or award for the European footballer of the year, FIFPro's world player of the year voted by fellow professionals and World Soccer's player of the year.
Barcelona's Argentina forward Messi came second, and Portuguese winger Ronaldo was in third place.
