The guys of Leogang are embracing the winter, by organising a slopestyle competition despite the snow and inviting the worlds best riders to take part. The popular mountain biking event is set to run on January 30th at Leogang and, as always, promises some truly unique riding opportunities. The course takes full advantage of the wintry conditions, turning snow into downslopes and shipping in some wooden booters. Invited riders will make their way from all over Europe for the fourth anniversary, held in Austria. 25 riders from approx. ten countries join the challenging slopestyle competition. Among them are big names like the last White Style winner Trond Hansen, Crankworx Whistler winner and Kona Clump team rider Andreu Lacondeguy, Nissan Qashqai Challenge overall winner Lance McDermott or Adidas Slopestyle winner Sam Pilgrim: The whole track is not only shaped out of snow, but also pimped with some nice wooden obstacles. The course is located right next to the Schantei ski-lift station, which is pretty close to the town centre of Leogang. Riders will be going all out in order to qualify for the finals just ten contestants will make it through. The overall winner will need to pull out all the stops to get their hands on the 4,000 prize-fund. Only one things for certain all the contestants will be partying hard afterwards.
