Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock is hoping to sign Leeds midfielder Shaun Derry permanently after impressing on a recent loan spell.Derry has been a major part of Palace's recent rise up the Championship table but his loan spell from Leeds is now over.

"We're in dialogue with Leeds and will be over the next few days," said Warnock after Saturday's 2-0 defeat of Bristol City at Selhurst Park.

"We think Shaun would like to come and I think Dennis Wise would like him to come.

"There will be a few ins and outs over the next 10 days although I have had no enquiries for my players - they're obviously not good enough for anyone else so they'll have to stay here."
