Swindon have had a bid accepted for Oxford striker James Constable.
The U's hitman, who has netted nine times in 28 appearances this season, is expected to agree terms on a move to the County Ground in time for the Robins' npower League Two clash with Macclesfield this weekend.
Swindon saw an approach for the hitman rebuffed by Oxford last week but returned with a fresh offer which was approved by the powers that be at the Kassam Stadium.
A statement on Oxford's official website said: "Oxford United Football Club can confirm they have received a much improved offer from Swindon Town Football Club for James Constable and, after discussions with the player, have given permission for him to talk to the club."
