Former QPR manager Neil Warnock has accused his enemies of "slowly poisoning" club owner Tony Fernandes against him and bringing about his recent sacking.
Warnock lost his job at Loftus Road on January 8 after a poor run of form which left the Rs just a point off the Barclays Premier League bottom three.
But he believes a major factor in his dismissal was the influence of some of his critics inside and outside the club, and told BBC Sport: "Even the owner Tony, I know the influence he'll have had from certain people over the past few weeks."
He added: "It would have been difficult to resist because people get on the phone and tweet and it's almost like slowly poisoning somebody from outside the club and, no doubt, from within the club as well.
"It's a dangerous precedent. If you let players talk to the chairman but, you know, you can't stop tweeting."
Warnock has also spoken about way QPR handled the sacking.
"I received a text saying the owners had been talking long into the night and Phil Beard, the new chief executive, asked if he could come and see me. So I told him to come to our house and I think when I saw him I felt sorry for him and said 'don't worry it's nothing to do with you, this'.
"I think you get used to a certain way of doing things but he [Fernandes] is so far away, all over the world. I'm not a communicator by tweet I'm afraid so I was always going to be the last to know."

Is this just anothe example of a widespread trend ? How many "shop floor" blokes have climbed sucessfully to the top of their "profession" and "set-up" sucessful operations. Then, suddenly, behind their backs & over their heads, "someone with letters behind their name who is currently available & seeking an improved situation" suddenly appears to replace them !! Then the fertilizer hits the fan, and in next to no-time, the operation collapses !!
When is Warnock going to fade away in to the sunset?? He's proved time and again that he's got neither the tactical nouse nor the the bottle to handle the Premier League. While he's certainly effective at a slightly lower level he seems to bring so much questionable publicity upon not only himself but the clubs he manages that I imagine it's now time for him to enjoy his severence fee and enjoy his retirement,
warnock, you are classless. your reaction to defeat by rochdale earlier this season was that of a small man with no ambition. good riddance.
Oh please. Warnock is on odious, disagreeable, arrogant, hypocritical bullshitter. He cries foul when it suits him (ie QPR vs Norwich, Barton red card), but those of us with a memory which goes back more than a week or two remember when his Sheff Utd team had 3 players sent off in a game where they tried to kick WBA off the pitch, and which they were deservedly losing. Warnock instructed Michael Brown and Rob Ullathorne to fake injury, thus getting the game abandoned. How about when Warnock was managing Bury, and they played Sheff United at Gigg Lane? Warnock wore a Blades tie for the game; surprise surprise, Bury lost the game and Warnock was appointed Sheffield Utd manager shortly after.
nice one paddy. i like warnock a lot but 2 points out of 24 might have had something to do with it! he'll be back. good luck to him.
I suppose it was the tweeters fault that you only managed 2 points out of a possible 24 Neil.
You wont be out of work 2 long Neil. Some club will snap u up. Chin up.
f uck them warnock things will get better for you
