Freezing weather conditions have seen Darlington's home clash with Chester as well as Rochdale's match against Notts County postponed.Following an 11am pitch inspection, the game at the Darlington Arena fell foul of the weather as the plummeting temperatures made the pitch unplayable.
Ground staff worked throughout the night to salvage the frozen pitch but their work was in vain.
Meanwhile, Rochdale's fixture against Notts County has also been postponed due to a frozen pitch at Spotland.
A pitch inspection at 11.00am deemed the playing surface unsafe because of the freezing conditions.
Dale officials lit fires in an attempt to thaw the pitch but their efforts proved fruitless. No new date for either fixture has been arranged.
