Preston striker Chris Brown is aiming to use his performance against Portsmouth as a springboard to start scoring in the Championship. The 23-year-old former Sunderland forward, joined North End from rivals Norwich last month but has so far scored only one goal in seven appearances.
Brown did everything but score in an outstanding display against Pompey in Sunday's cruel FA Cup fifth-round defeat and is aiming to add goals to his artillery.
"It was always going to be a tough game against the back four they have got, so I just tried to make it as difficult as possible for them," said Brown.
"It would have been nice to have got a goal and that's what I am looking to do more often."
"But I am just trying to work as hard as I can for the team."
