Potters boss maintains focus

Tue 19 Feb, 07:00 PM

Stoke boss Tony Pulis insists he will not be looking over his shoulder despite remaining top of the Championship table on Monday night.Bristol City could have gone a point clear at the summit had they beaten Palace at Ashton Gate on Monday but a 1-1 draw ensured the Potters remained top - joint on points with Watford.

And Pulis believes that the key to promotion to the Premier League will be keeping 'control' and concentrating on his own squad, regardless of the progress of his side's nearest rivals.

"What's the point worrying over things you can't control?" he said. "I only worry about my own players because that's where I have some control.

"You have to forget about everybody on the outside and just concern yourself with what's happening inside your own dressing room.

"And I'm not concerned about the greater spotlight we might get because it won't change my approach."
