Lincoln chairman Steff Wright is confident Lee Frecklington will sign a new deal with the club and says talks have been "extremely positive".The 22-year-old midfielder and his agent are currently in talks with the Imps about an improved contract.

Wright told the Lincoln Echo: "Negotiations with Lee are progressing very well indeed and everything has been extremely positive.

"We have always spoken about how we want Lee to stay with us because we understand and recognise what an exceptional talent he is.

"He has said he would like to stay here as well and I'm pleased with how the current situation is developing.

"We don't want our best players to leave and are committed to ensuring it doesn't happen."
