Plymouth Argyle have bolstered their options by signing Derby winger Gary Teale and Sunderland defender Russell Anderson on loan deals.
Teale has joined until the end of the season, while Anderson's move is an emergency month-long deal.
Scotland international Teale has found himself out of the first-team picture during the current Premier League campaign and has decided to drop down to the Championship in search of regular football.
Derby boss Paul Jewell told the club's official website: "Gary has had limited first-team opportunities here and has lost a bit of confidence, but he's a terrific lad and we wish him well."
Teale joined the Rams from Wigan for £600,000 in January 2007.
Anderson - also a Scotland international - was signed from Aberdeen for £1 million in the close season, but has made just one league appearance after rupturing his ankle ligaments in a Carling Cup game at Luton early in his Stadium of Light career.
