Alex Ferguson made an initial attempt to lure Rodwell to Old Trafford in January's transfer window but backed off when David Moyes made it clear he needed the 19-year-old for the fight against relegation.
But Fergie, who desperately needs to invigorate his squad with some youth with Paul Scholes (36) set for retirement and Michael Carrick (29) likely on his way in the summer, is set to go back in for the England U21 star. (The Sun)
