Arrest after Memorial Stadium clash

A man was arrested following an incident in the tunnel after Bristol Rovers' League One defeat to Swansea on Tuesday night.Police refused to reveal his identity but there have been reports of a scuffle.

Rovers coach Paul Trollope said: "The police are investigating and came to our dressing room afterwards.

"I can't say whether we will be taking action as a club at this stage. We will be awaiting the result of the police investigation."

Rovers safety officer Dave Harper said: "I can confirm there was an incident in the tunnel and that a man has been taken to a local police station under arrest. I am not able to reveal his identity at this stage."

The match was a heated one, with Swansea substitute Febian Brandy sent off for raising his arms at an opponent.
