Coventry have decided they will not play in a designated reserve league next season, Sky Blues chairman Ray Ranson has confirmed. The Sky Blues currently operate in the Pontin's League but as of September they will play friendlies against other teams who have also opted out of the competition.
Ranson told the club's official site: "We feel it would be more beneficial for us to play friendlies against other teams, many of which would be based in the Midlands.
"At the minute we are the victim of fixture congestion and it would aid the club to organise its own fixtures on its own terms."
