Coventry defender Scott Dann admits he was shocked after being called up to Stuart Pearce's England U-21 squad for the friendly with Poland.Dann was named alongside fellow Sky Blues defender Danny Fox in the squad on Tuesday for the game next week and has confessed the news came as an unexpected surprise.

He told the club's website: "Its something I wasn't expecting and I am really excited about linking up with the rest of the squad.

"I am sure this is an experience I will learn from and it would be a dream come true to be involved in any way."
