Barnsley's on-loan shot-stopper Luke Steele has spoken out after returning to West Brom at the end of his loan spell at the Yorkshire club. The FA Cup hero, who was on a one-month loan from the Baggies, played against Liverpool and Chelsea on their historic road to Wembley and was hoping to walk out with the squad against Cardiff in the semi-final on April 6.
But both clubs have failed to come to an agreement with the key stumbling block being West Brom wanting Barnsley to pay the full amount of the 23-year-old's wages totalling £8,000 a week.
He told the club's official website: "Unless both clubs can reach an agreement I'm going to be watching Barnsley's semi-final day out at Wembley on the TV.
"It should have been a really simple deal to carry on my loan until the end of the season.
"But the deal is getting complicated and I am running the risk of missing out on the biggest day of my professional career."
