Ipswich have confirmed that forward Jon Walters' knee surgery has been a success and he should be back in six weeks.Town's top scorer had been carrying a knee injury for months before finally succumbing to the problem and went under the knife on Wednesday morning.

Physio Matt Byard told the club's official website: "The surgeon is very happy with the way the surgery went and confirmed that we are looking at probably six weeks on the sidelines for Jon.

"He will begin his rehab in the next day or two.

"He will start with some work in the deep water tank and we will then step it up slowly from there."
