Swans Back In The Swim

Wed 19 Mar, 04:09 AM

Leaders Swansea ended their recent mini-slump with a 2-0 victory at Bristol Rovers.

Dennis Lawrence's header (72) and Jason Scotland's 78th-minute penalty sealed the victory and the only black spot was the red card shown to Febian Brandy for a heavy tackle on Danny Coles.

Elsewhere, Huddersfield beat play-off hopefuls Brighton 2-1 at the Galpharm Stadium.

Full-back Andy Holdsworth fired the Terriers ahead in just four minutes but Nicky Forster equalised from the spot moments after the restart.

Chris Brandon gave away the penalty but was then felled at the other end to allow Luke Beckett (79) to stroke home the winner for the Yorkshiremen to leave the Seagulls still just outside the play-off places.
