Another week, another high quality field, another win for Tiger Woods?
You can only pick the same player 10 times in one season, but is it now the time to rest Tiger Woods from your fantasy team? Don't be silly!
But who else is worth a look?
The Tournament: WGC-CA Championship
The Course: Blue Course at Doral Resort & Spa
Known as the "Blue Monster", this is a course for the big hitters and expect plenty of high scores if the wind gets up. The hole where the tournament will most likely be won and lost is the 467-yard par-four closer. A beast of a hole with water all along its left side and a skinny fairway, last year the average score on the 18th was a massive 4.625.
A List
Tee 'Em Up:Tiger Woods will obviously be in your team. Want some more information? Well this tournament has been staged eight times in the past (but only once at the Doral) and Woods has won six of them. He has also won the last three tournaments to be staged on this course, so all in all it is another easy decision. Again Vijay Singh looks the next best option: he has come third here on a couple of occasions and finally showed signs of life last week. If it wasn't for his poor round on Saturday, he would have won the Arnold Palmer. You could also do worse than Ernie Els, who has the big hitting game that will suit this course and a similar logic makes Sergio Garcia worth a glance.
Cut 'Em:Phil Mickelson let us down last week and this is not the week where he is likely to restore our faith in him. This has never been a happy hunting ground for Lefty, who has never cracked the top 20 at the Blue Monster. Poor records at this course should see you also discount Rory Sabbatini and Adam Scott . JB Holmes is making his first start here and this is not the type of course that rewards debutants, while Aaron Oberholser cannot be recommended until he proves he is fit.
B List
Tee 'Em Up:Sean O'Hair proved last week (against our initial beliefs) that he was no one-week wonder and he now starting to look like real B List royalty. Retief Goosen has spent most of this year in the "Cut 'Em" column but finally showed glimpses of his former self last week and this course is perfect for his game. Camilo Villegas was second here on his last visit (Ford Championship 2006) and you just feel he is due a breakout week sometime soon. Finally, Robert Allenby has been up-and-down a bit so far this season but his second place finish here last year makes him worthy of consideration.
Cut 'Em: As we stated when looking at the A List, this is not a course for newbies, so somebody like Ryuji Imada should be a pass this week despite his strong, consistent form so far this campaign. DJ Trahan and Daniel Chopra both picked up wins earlier in the season but have now settled into pretty choppy form. Finally, Colin Montgomerie makes a guest appearance this weekend, but we feel there are better options available.
C List
Tee 'Em Up: Show the Europeans a little love here, why not? Again, Luke Donald is hard to leave out even if he did miss the cut here. And Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer have the quality to make an impact in the tournament. Niclas Fasth loves these big tournaments and a sixth-place finish here last year is enough for him to be on anybody's radar.
Cut 'Em:Heath Slocum has won more US Tour money this season than any other available player on the C List this week other than Donald but that is mainly due to the amount of tournaments he has played in. With a number of Europeans making the trip to this WGC event there are better options than Slocum available.
