Italy's court of arbitration has rejected former Juventus director Luciano Moggi's appeal against a five-year ban from football for corruption.
Moggi received the ban after the investigation into match-fixing and referee intimidation that saw his club Juventus relegated and docked points in 2006.
Initially quitting football, the 70-year-old transfer deal-maker retained a high profile, criticising the Juve board and trying to angle for a return to the game.
Moggi, however, will have to wait until 2011 before returning and has been slapped with a fine for court costs.
