Swansea manager Roberto Martinez will still be celebrating despite seeing his side fail to cap their title-winning day with victory. The Swans went down to a 2-1 home defeat to Yeovil, but results elsewhere went their way with Carlisle losing at home to Southend and the Welsh side were crowned League One champions.
Martinez said: "We couldn't get the result we wanted, but then neither could Carlisle, so we can all celebrate as it is a huge day for the players, the staff and all the fans.
"We will be presented with the trophy before our final home match next week and as it has taken the club 24 years to get into this position we will probably celebrate just as much after that match."
Goals from Terry Skiverton (24) and Aiden Downes (60) put the Glovers on top, but although Andy Robinson pulled one back in the 78th minute, the Swans could not get on level terms.
Midfielder Darren Pratley was dismissed in the 90th minute when he brought down substitute Lloyd Owusu and the Swans had to be content with the news that close rivals Carlisle had also been beaten.
