Striker Drewe Broughton insists he has no regrets about joining MK Dons after being released and aims to prove a point next season. The 27-year-old managed just 19 appearances after signing from Chester and watched from the sidelines as his team-mates secured a League Two title and Johnstone's Paint Trophy double.
Broughton told the club's official website: "I had a good idea it was coming.
"Things like this happen, I've been in the game long enough to know that and I'll start next season with a point to prove both to myself and the Milton Keynes fans.
"It was a disappointing season for me, I never felt I really got going after pre-season. The team was winning so chances were few and far between and you can accept that, but it does make it difficult to get any momentum going.
"It was a great season for the club and it was great for me to play a part in it, albeit a small part, and I've enjoyed the year I've been here. I've absolutely no regrets."
