Clark: Todorov in a 'good place'

Mon 19 May, 05:00 PM

Charlton performance manager Niall Clark is pleased with Svetoslav Todorov's progress as he recovers from a serious knee injury. The striker suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and a small fracture to his knee during the 2-1 home defeat to Plymouth in October which ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign.

But, after undergoing reconstructive surgery, the Bulgarian is on the road to recovery and Clark has revealed he will be working with him all summer to get him back fit.

"(Head physio) Steve Allen and I work closely all year in terms of the rehab and I've been taking Svetoslav Todorov since the end of the season, doing sessions with him to get him back," Clark told the club's official website.

"Toddy's in a good place at the moment and of the currently injured players I will do sessions with them when Steve and his team are comfortable. But I'll be here all summer."

Izale McLeod, Chris Dickson and Darren Ambrose are all currently injured with McLeod not expected to return for the Addicks until the end of the year.
