Defender ready for hard graft

Mon 19 May, 01:15 PM

Norwich City defender Adam Drury admits he faces a tough summer trying to get fit for next season after a long stint on the sidelines.Drury, 29, underwent surgery on a knee injury back in October and has not featured for the Canaries since.

"I'm going to have a lot of time on my own or with the physios doing rehab work and getting stronger," he told the club's official website.

"Basically I'll be ready to go on the first day of pre-season, hopefully with the stuff I'm doing now I should be one of the fittest there.

"I feel good now, it's just frustrating that the rest of the lads have gone away on holiday.

"It is a funny thing to say but I am actually looking forward to pre-season, I never thought I would say it but I can't wait now to get back and be a part of it."
