How many times have we been told that England are going­ to win a major competition and how many times has it­ actually happened. We dont even get as far as the­ finals. A major trophy is long overdue and the­ disappointment level is rising.

this crisis has been looming for a few years and we­ cant rely on James being ready or fully fit and able if­ as a keeper he is having a shoulder op and at 38 and in­ the twilight of his career, the op make take longer to­ heal than expected, we cant "wait and see",­ we have to have a couple of other keepers available and­ ready. If Ben Foster is fit he must be given a chance­ but who else is up for the job. None of the keepers we­ have tried have been consistent and even James himself­ is nicknamed "calamity". Most of the ­ keepers in the EPL are foreign so Capello will have to­ look in the Championship, something he should be doing­ anyway
