Rotherham's teenage defender David Haggerty has targeted a first-team breakthrough next season after signing his first professional contract.
The 18-year-old, who had loan spells at Sheffield FC and Ilkeston last season, was rewarded with a one-year deal last week.
Haggerty said: "I've been waiting to see if I would get a contract and I'm delighted to have signed it. My aim now will be to try and kick on from here.
"I will be working hard over the summer to keep my fitness up and build up my strength, then come back firing in pre-season and try and break into the first team."
