Brian Laws revealed team strengthening at Hillsborough is far from over after completing five new deals in the last week.
The Owls manager has signed defender Darren Purse from Cardiff and Ipswich midfielder Tommy Miller in the last week, while Marcus Tudgay, Michael Gray and goalkeeper Lee Grant have all signed new contracts.
Laws said: "I'm really pleased that we have secured commitment from players who can help to make us competitive in the Championship next season.
"The business we have done in the past three weeks means we have already strengthened our squad considerably.
"We will not complete our squad plans for next season overnight, but the moves we have made so far give me great confidence for the 2009/10 campaign."
