Florent Malouda is happy continuing to do the "dirty work" for Chelsea as they aim to give interim manager Guus Hiddink a fitting send off.
The France winger has been one of the most consistent performers since the arrival of the Dutchman in February, which saw the Blues get their campaign back on track and come within touching distance of the Champions League final.
"The team is playing really well and it is easier for me to express myself in a team that is doing so good," said the 28-year-old, signed from Lyon in a £13.5million deal during the summer of 2007. "I always try to play relaxed because that is when you get the best out of yourself.
"Everybody is talking about assists or scoring goals, but in a team there is a lot of work to do and also, as the coach would like to say, the dirty work. I am somebody who will first do the dirty work and then try to get some assists or score some goals.
"Everybody at the club trusts me, I can feel the confidence of my team-mates and that gives me a lot of confidence. I also think Gus Hiddink gave me more responsibilities and that is what I had when I was at Lyon.
"When you come to a big club like Chelsea you have to wait to get some experience and then take your responsibilities."

for sure ronaldo are the big f&^%ing divers....
He is a @#$% player who dives like every other Chelsea players. I won't be surprise if he leaves Chelsea in the summer because Guus Hiddink is certainly leaving.
people seem to forget how good he was in his 1st few games for the club. he then got asked to play a different role which didnt suit his game. hiddink played him as a wide player, and his crosses are more varied and of better quality. his goal scoring is also good. his quality was never in doubt for me, possibly best player in the league last couple months, def over the last month.
hope the new coach looks at the players chelsea have and play them in the role thats suits them best. mikel aint a sitting mid, makelele was the only player that could do that the way its being asked. let mikel play centre mid, not attacking and not defending just a centre mid.
kalou can also play in a front 2 and maybe should be used there.
i dont know how he had the nerve to wear a chelsea shirt when he started out now he seems to have taken some playing skill pills and like anelka and drogba decided its the end season so better start to play better if all them played like it under scolari the league title would have been ours weeks ago
i hope he dont n it seems tht
it his hair that doin the magic lol
