Leyton Orient defender Tamika Mkandawire is hopeful that the club can persuade Wycombe striker Scott McGleish to return to Brisbane Road next season.
The 35-year-old netted five goals during a successful loan spell towards the end of the recent League One campaign, helping Orient pull away from relegation trouble and secure a mid-table finish.
Manager Geraint Williams has since offered the forward, who is out of contract at Adams Park this summer, a one-year deal to stay in east London and Mkandawire feels it is vital that he accepts it.
"We want him to say. You can see Scott's quality," he told PA Sport. "He works hard for the team, he wins his fair share of headers and more importantly he he scores goals. It was his goals that kept us up really."
