Roux wins Lorraine opener
Anthony Roux (Française des Jeux) won the opening stage of the Circuit de Lorraine after the 166km trek from Amneville to Longwy.
Roux won a sprint finish ahead of fellow French riders Roman Feillu and Laurent Mange.
It is the second win of the year for Roux – he won the fourth stage of the Circuit de la Sarthe where he also won the overall title.
Thursday's second stage sees the riders make the 168km trek from Briey to Commercy.
The five stage race finishes in Hayange on Sunday.
