Boss Alex McLeish has assured Birmingham fans he will not let any star names go unless he feels he can bring in someone to better the team.Fabrice Muamba and Mikael Forssell have already left St Andrews this summer and question marks surround the futures of several other players, including Sebastian Larsson, who will now return to the midlands club after Sweden were eliminated from Euro 2008.
"We need to keep all our best players together and hopefully add one or two who can enhance things," the Blues boss told the club's official website.
"It takes time to build a team, but after the signing of Lee Carsley and Maik (Taylor) putting pen to paper, I hope some of the lads I inherited are in for the journey too.
"One or two may go in order to balance the books a little bit but I want to assure the fans that I won't be releasing any player if I can't then go on and make the team better."
Meanwhile, Birmingham's opening day clash against Sheffield United on August 9 has been selected for live transmission on Sky, with kick off being changed to 12.45.

Positive word's , but that's all at the moment. If I see Seb, Kapo, Jimmy Mac, on the pitch wearing a Blue shirt on August 9th, I will believe it, but two many false dawn's make me a bit septical.
