Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy has bolstered his squad for the new season by signing Barry Roche and Neil Wainwright on free transfers.Goalkeeper Roche, 26, has been almost ever-present for Chesterfield in the past two seasons while winger Wainwright, 30, joins from Darlington, for whom he made more than 160 league appearances. Both have signed two-year deals.

McIlroy said: "Both players have Football League experience which is what we have been looking for and I look forward to working with them. I'm sure they will be excellent additions to our squad."
