Alberto Aquilani's agent insists the Roma star will still be at the Stadio Olimpico next season.
Aquilani's contract expires in 2010 and Roma are eager to keep the Italy midfielder, reportedly rejecting a 30 million euro bid from Juventus recently while Inter Milan and Arsenal are one of several clubs thought to be mulling a move.
Talks have reportedly stalled over the player's wage demands which are thought to be higher than Roma's 2.5 million euros per season salary cap, but his agent Franco Zavaglia is confident the 23-year-old will remain at the club he supported as a boy.
"After the European Championship I believe Aquilani will renew his deal with Roma," he told SportItalia.
"He grew up there and he really wants to stay there.
"Recently, there have been things reported which have annoyed the lad, so in these situations it's always wise to speak little and not give too much away to the media."
Aquilani has spent all his career at Roma since signing professional forms in 2002, apart from a season on loan at Triestina.
