Morecambe have signed goalkeeper Barry Roche from League Two rivals Chesterfield on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old, who arrived from Nottingham Forest in July 2005, has been an almost ever-present for the Spireites for the past two seasons.
Roche will be joined at Morecambe by 30-year-old winger Neil Wainwright from Darlington, also on a free transfer.
After signing a two-year deal with the Shrimps, Roche said: "I have a lot to thank Chesterfield for because they gave me a chance in the Football League. Their goalkeeping coach Steve Sutton was superb for me and I will always be grateful.
"We had a good season last year and really should have made the play-offs but it wasn't to be."
Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy (pictured) said: "Both players have Football League experience which is what we have been looking for and I look forward to working with them. I'm sure they will be excellent additions to our squad."
