Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has wished departing winger Graeme Owens all the best following his move to Kilmarnock.
The 21-year-old midfielder has signed a two-year deal with the Scottish Premier League side with his contract at the Riverside Stadium due to expire at the end of the month.
Southgate told the club's official website: "We wish Graeme all the very best. It's a great move for him and we are delighted for him."
Meanwhile, Boro have been linked with a move for out-of-contract Reading striker Leroy Lita.
The 24-year-old has been told he can leave the Madejski Stadium following the Royals' failure to regain their place in the Barclays Premier League.
Lita, a former England Under-21 international, rejected a switch to Sheffield United in January.

another Big mistake, owens shows lots of promise and he hasn't even had a chance to play in the championship. It took a loan deal at sunderland before our club saw the ability of downing and now we have another squad player to replace.
get rid of southgate then we may get a team to win things not send us down to the lower leagues
Are Reading not in the Championship, and is this find Lita only 24, thought we were looking for experience. Am confused, but then that is not difficult where Boro are concerned.
good luck even though i havent heard of you before. suppose you will be better known in kilmarnock as you obviousley werent in the boro as our dosy manager never gave you a pl starter
