Former Petersborough goalkeeper Mark Tyler has given his blessing to his successor at London Road, Joe Lewis.

Tyler is now at Luton after being released this week, having made 486 appearances for Posh.

He told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, "I know that not everyone is convinced by Joe, but believe me he is a top-class keeper.

"I trained with him every day and I have no doubts that he is destined for the top.

"If he could help Posh into the Premier League no-one would be more pleased for him and the club than me."
