Scotland coach Andy Robinson has praised the application of his players as they prepare for Saturday's second Test against Argentina in Mar del Plata.

The tourists secured an impressive 24-16 win in the first Test in Tucuman last weekend, and a win at Estadio Jose Maria Minella would give them a first Test series success in the southern hemisphere.

"They are a very high quality team to work with," Robinson said. "They are setting their standards, they are desperate to improve. That's a great thing in a squad. There is real competition for places and guys know that when they're given the opportunity they have to take it."

But Robinson knows his side will need to improve on last weekend's performance, particularly at the breakdown area.

"We have to get a lot better from set piece, we have to be more accurate in our running lines and the contact area," he said. "We have to clear the ball quickly in rucks.

"In defence, we gave Argentina two tries which they took very well. We must be sharper in our defensive organisation.

"Training has gone well. We only have to focus on how we can improve this weekend."

Robinson has made just one change in personnel for tomorrow's Test with left winger Simon Danielli coming in for Nick De Luca. Sean Lamont is moved from the left to the right flank as Max Evans comes into the centre.

Argentina scrum-half Agustin Figuerola replaces Alfredo Lalanne, while Leicester's Lucas Amorosino gets the nod on the left wing ahead of Lucas Borges, who drops to the bench.

Of those changes, Robinson said: "Amorosino did very well coming off the bench last week. He moved the ball around very well, counter-attacked well. It is a shame that Lalanne will not play, but we know the player coming in at scrum-half will play well too."
